Adele has had a lot of accomplishments in her short career. From six grammy noms [and wins] to constantly having both her albums in the top spot, week after week.
This, however is an accolade that stands out. For years, the same acts have ruled the music charts in the UK. Acts like The Beatles, and Pink Floyd have dominated the spots for nearly half a decade. Today, however, Adele's sophomore release "21" overtook Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side Of The Moon", the band 1971 masterpiece. This jump marks "21" as the seventh highest sel...Read More

Whitney Houston, who ruled as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, died Saturday. She was 48.
Beverly Hills police Lt. Mark Rosen told reporters outside the Beverly Hilton that Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. in her room on the fourth floor of the hotel. Her body remained there and Beverly Hills detectives were investigating. TMZ.com reported that her body was found in the hotel room's bathtub.
"There were no obvious signs of any criminal intent," Rosen said.

British pop super star Adele is still recovering from vocal surgery, which she had last November. However, that didn't stop her from saying a few words on the late Etta James, who passed away last week. You can catch the full transcript from Adele's blog below.
"What a lady Etta James was. She was the ultimate original. Her voice was breath taking and her songs are reflections we all recognise in some way or another. Its an honour every time I hear her voice. I saw her at BB Kings in New York a few years ago, and it was something I will remember forever. Thank you to Et...Read More

I fell in love with young Xenia on NBC's new singing talent show, The Voice. Although still in high school when she competed, her raw talent was evident to almost anyone who heard her sing. Her voice sounded far more mature than that of a sixteen year old. She had a way of phrasing lyrics so that she could make any song she covered her own. Her first EP dropped on iTunes today and it is already topping the charts. All four songs are a breath of fresh air for the pop music genre. I especially love "Summer Dress." It is my favorite song on the EP. The tone of her voice is just wonderful to liste...Read More
