This group I am about to write about is some of the most LEGIT #HipHop I have heard from local artists in the past few years. The St. Louis (by way of Chicago) Hip Hop duo consists of Nimo & Sun One, and their single "Visions Ave" pays homage to the classic #HipHop era that has all but disappeared. Queens based #HipHop artist Action Bronson announced today plans for a "green" cookbook. Bronson broke the news earlier this week on the weekly podcast show “Food Is The New Rock”. The rapper said the book will combine his two favorite things, food and marijuana and that we can expect the book in stores soon.

Working as a personal chef before making waves on the rap game, Bronson said that this project is indeed serious and we should expect it to be “very visual, a coffee table book, with recipes here and there.”

#HipHop star Wiz Khalifa shut the internet down last Tuesday when he dropped his highly anticipated mixtape "Taylor Allderdice". Mixtape site DatPiff crashed almost immediately after the tape was available, which as you can imagine, upset fans. Within an hour the tape was on several mirror sites, which also had trouble staying up. Within the first twenty four hours, the tape had been downloaded over 200,000 times, and continued to grow and grow all the way past 800,000 in just seven days. Google's newly launched music platform Google Music is running a pretty sweet promotion to attract attention away from Amazon Music and iTunes and give themselves a staple in the market. They are giving away 100 free songs to every new user that signs up on Google Music.

The songs are divided into four categories, with around 100 songs in each category. The categories included are #hiphop #pop #rock and free songs. All that's required is a Google Music account.
