Producer Spotlight: LOVeSwim

January 9, 2012 by skov // #loveswim #nebulove #hiphop #instrumental

LoveSWIM is an up and coming producer and rapper. LoveSWIM brings hard hitting drums, over laid with airy synths and funky leads. We had a chance to sit down with him to find out what goes into his process, and what to expect from his debut release "Nebulove"

1. First off tell us a little bit about yourself and where you're from?

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii for 8 years and moved to VA In 2000, and I've been here since. As for me, not much to say without putting everyone to sleep, but I'm 19 and I have too much to do. That includes the time I make for producing music, gaming like a mother fucker, and other dope shit like writing the T.V. series I wanna get out.

...

2. Your currently on your debut tape "Nebulove" if I'm not mistaken. When can we expect that, and what are you bringing to the table.

Well "Nebulove" is all about how music can take you further then space itself and I'm a strong believer of that as well. All production is done by me and there are very little features due to the fact that I have so much shit to rant about. The sounds used on this tape are fuckin insane and each song influences the next one right after. I've been thinking to release this as quick as possible but one thing I've learned is to get all aspects of the project just as I want it so when I do release the tape, heads will go ape shit, while l watch in amusement. But as for the official release, look out for "Nebulove" this summer 2012.

3. What recording software do you use? Do you play any instruments?

Reason for the most part cause the interface looks too hard for my peoples to use when I show it to em,gives me a sense of security in knowing I'm the only dude around here who perfected that bitch. As for instruments I play the piano or any other keyboards I can get my hands on. I always wanted to play some sweet acoustic drums but I definitely don't have that "sit on a chair behind everyone" swag for that.

4. Who are some of your Influences?

Hands down my biggest influence is Kanye West. Not because of his music due to the fact that I stopped sampling years ago, but because the creativity Ye brings is insane man. That shit cray and we all know it, even if he is an asshole [Laughs]. Other influences are James Blake, Roy Ayers, Gil Scott-Heron, Adam Scott, Tina Fey, and Aziz Ansari. I listed a couple actors/actresses because in my opinion as a creative individual I use all aspects possible when it comes to bringing in different influences to my music, whether it be from artists, actors, or athletes you know.

5. What can we expect in 2012?

I really want to put out the follow-up to "Nebulove" this year and also show you guys some of the writing I'm doing with some of the actors I'm gonna be working with. Overall, 2012 should a big year for me and you guys and you all should expect some pretty dope shit from sir LOVe.

6. Any shout-outs or closing words?

I want to shout out Big Snub and Pookey from the Liquor Store on 3rd ave, and Aunt Retta across the street who can't bake a chocolate chip cookie for her life. All of that was entirely fictional and brought to you by my extremely dry humor. Be easy.

There are many sites out there, but I will be the first to tell you that LOVeSwim is easily my favorite. I prefer to check this https://christchurchconcretedriveways.co.nz/ and manage their construction skills. Having said that, I wanted to introduce you to the team behind this site so you can see firsthand how they operate and how you can benefit from their services. December 13, 2022
